INTERVENTION - SUPPORT - EDUCATION - What you need to know whilst working in the voluntary and community sector
The Illegal Money Lending Team works closely with outside agencies to generate intelligence about loan sharks in local communities, Sunderland is no different. VCAS have arranged three local events across the City, to provide advice and information about the dangers of using loan sharks and the consequences that can follow, in addition to spread awareness of the support available to loan shark victims.
VCAS call upon all VCSE organisations who work with vulnerable people who may fall victim or cecum to borrowing from loan sharks to attend. In addition, we have the Welfare Right Service in attendance who will be providing a short presentation and answering queries you may have on Universal Credit.
The session will be very informal and and informative which we will sure you will find very interesting and helpful, these include:

- Welfare Rights Service – Understanding Universal Credit – Q & A Session
